Presque Isle, ME 9/11/11 – The University of Maine-Farmington men's soccer player Jordan Hale scored twice in the first half and assisted on a third goal in the 2nd to lead his Beavers to a 3-0 win at the University of Maine-Presque Isle on Sunday afternoon.

Hale's first goal came just over 6 minutes into the game when a save by UMPI goalkeeper Josh MacKinnon (So./Merigomish, NS) trickled away and gave the junior forward just enough opening to squeeze the ball through. The 2nd goal was all Hale as he beat two Owl defenders leading to a breakaway and a score at the 19:29 mark.

Both teams were physical throughout the game leading to 25 foul calls and three yellow cards being issued. Only 16 shots were taken in the entire game, nine by UMF and 7 by UMPI.

UMPI will play again next Saturday, September, 17th when they travel to the University of Maine-Fort Kent. Game time is set for 2:00pm.
