Owls Fall to the Mariners

CASTINE, MAINE – The Owls faced off against the Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy, losing 4-0 in the non-conference match up. The host Mariners advance to 3-0-1 on the year before heading into conference play as the Owls fall to 0-4-0.

The Mariners were in control of the game early in the match. Scoring four goals in the first 22 minutes of the game. Taking an early 4-0 lead. The Owls would continue to fight, turning up their offense in the second half. The Owls were able to put up four shots in the second half while giving up six shots by the Mariners, but no goals by either team, ending the game 4-0.
The Owls finished the game with five shots and three on goal compared to the Mariners 23 shots, and 16 on goal.


Next Up: The Owls will host Vermont State University Lyndon in their first conference game of the year.
