CANTON, NY – For the second time in as many days, the University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls (2-12) would fall to the SUNY Canton Roos (9-8).  This time the host Roos would control the game throughout, winning by a final score of 74-43.

The Owls could not repeat their shooting performance from the night before, falling behind early.  The Roos would stay steady throughout the matchup, shooting 46.2% as they steadily built an insurmountable lead.  The Owls on the other hand would shoot just 27% from the floor, and only connect on two of 15 three-point attempts.

SUNY Canton had 13 players step on the floor, all of which scored points.  Anastasia Chambers (FR, Manhattan, NY) would lead the charge with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.  Taylor Saltus (SR, Clintonville, NY) and Tyberia Wallace (JR, Harlem, NY) would chip in ten points apiece.

The Owls would get 11 points and five rebounds from Emilia Churchill (SO, Washburn, ME).  Kendra Silvers (FR, North Berwick, ME) would score nine points, while Marissa Reagle (FR, Seattle, WA) would add seven points and five rebounds.

The Owls return back to Maine and will visit Bowdoin College on Sunday afternoon.  That game is scheduled for a 1 pm tip.
