Beavers Edge the Owls in NAC Game

FARMINGTON, MAINE – The Owls men's soccer team competed in their first North Atlantic Conference match of the year, facing off against the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers. The Beavers took the win in the NAC season opener, 4-0 in the hard fought game. This bring the Owls to 0-6-1 on the year.
 
The teams battled in the first half of the game, before the Beavers were able to get on the board in the 29th minute of the game to give them a lead early. Holding on to the lead, going into the second half, the Beavers had the edge with nine shots to UMPI's three. In the second, the Beavers put up another nine shots, although they were able to get three of them past Xavier McAtee, in the Owls goal. McAtee finished the game with five saves on the nine shots on goal.
 
 
Next Up: The Owls will host Thomas College in another NAC match up on Saturday.
