Lori Joseph is recognized as an inductee into the University of Maine at Presque Isle owls Athletic Hall of Fame for her achievements on the women's basketball team and volleyball team. Joseph graduated from the UMPI in 2000. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Services. Joseph came to UMPI as a Sophomore transfer from the University of Maine at Machias, where she played both basketball and volleyball. 

Before attending UMPI, Joseph had a successful two years at the University of Maine at Machias. When transferring to UMPI, Joseph made an immediate impact, earning MAC First Team in both her seasons with the Owls, 1999 and 2000. She was also named the Owls Women's Basketball MVP and the Owls Most Outstanding Female Athlete for back to back years. In her 1999 season, Joseph also was named to the Star City ShootOut All-Tournament Team. 

Joseph went on to become a 1,000 point scorer for the Owls, as she finished her career with 1,219 points. At the time of her career she finished 3rd on the Owls all-time scoring list, now currently sitting in the fourth spot. In her first season with the Owls, Joseph led the Maine Athletic Conference in rebounding with 9.42 rebounds per game, and third in the MAC in scoring with 15.2 points per game. In her senior year, she continued to put up impressive numbers, averaging 9.7 rebounds per game, which earned her a top 20 spot in the nation. 
Not only did Joseph have an outstanding career in basketball at UMPI, she also was a standout volleyball player for the Owls.Playing in three seasons for UMPI, Joseph went on to make the Maine Athletic Conference All-Conference Team all three years, 1998, 1999, and 2000.

After her playing career ended, Joseph went on to coach junior varsity boys and girls basketball for a season each. After coaching, Joseph went on to work as a Territory manager, which she still does today with Gnaz/Midwest CBK. Joseph is married to fellow Hall of Famer Jefferey Joseph as they have two children, Jahleel and Jamal.
